What a shocker.

Yeah, actually, I think only the blog title and the BW haters in the comments section are actually negative. The rest of it reads like standard-issue early BW play with lots of common mistakes. Mostly in not saying "yes" to all the uninteresting, undramatic nonsense.

Yeah, you'll see one of their group paraphrasing Abed from "Community" in the comments. So I don't think it's anything other than a fumbling attempt to figure out the game. I know at least one of them has read this thread, so maybe they'll chime in.
Also: ninjas.
Ah, it doesn't sound so bad.
The buying of the stuff could've been relegated to a "Say Yes" and moved right to the village. But they got some comedy from it, as well as learned some basic Resource mechanics.
It also would've been interesting if they confronted the Duchess about her callous attitude towards life. That could've turned her into a memorable villain whom the characters have to work for. Good stuff!
Grief proved an obstacle, but only because of understandable newb reasons. You don't roll it, but it should act as a motivation to prevent bad things from happening. That's the base. Then there's the whole using Grief to power Songs, which is awesome.
I wonder if they'll try it again? I would love to read about the moment when it clicks, if ever.
